Website ownership exists/doesn't exist.
-
I bought a domain name about six months ago. All of a sudden I lost all rights to edit the site. Although, I still receive emails updating me about the site, WordPress says I do not own it. Can someone help me troubleshoot, please? I have tried changing as many settings as possible to see if I can cause any changes- no results.

To get any assistance is does help to state the address of the site/domain you need help with.
I bought a domain name about six months ago.
But note that you are posting into the WordPress.com support forum using an account here that is only one month old. Perhaps you used a different account/log on details either here or elsewhere six months ago when you purchased the unnamed domain?

Doman name: https://www.metallicrecycle.com/
I am using BlueHost and I am currently troubleshooting with them.
No. I created the website using WordPress last year. I am sure that is easy to identify from the bottom of the site.

Hey,
I think what @themagicrobot is rtying to say is that you are using a self hosted WordPress site.
You can read here about the difference. You mentiones that you are already troubleshooting with BlueHost, that is probably the best way to solve the problem. And if you need further assistance you can check out WordPress.org forums

For those of you that may run into the same issue.
Issue: 500 Internal Server Error
Effects: Unable to edit site made using WordPress due to inability to access website dashboard. Site appeared as non-existent under owner's account.
Steps taken: Troubleshooting with BlueHost (web hosting service)
Results: Issue resolved. BlueHost=> My Sites => Overview => Pluggins => Manage => (manually and individually update WordPress and plug ins)
