Hi, My portfolio (built in 2013) has suddenly disappeared just as I need it the most (am actively job seeking). I’m not very technical, and am have probably missed some warnings, but would really appreciate some help getting the last version back (everything has disappeared and looks like a fresh page when I log in to where I used to build the pages). I would really appreciate your help. This is the domain (hosted through One.com): http://www.planbimages.com

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We can’t help you as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com but is hosted by one.com meaning it uses the open source wordpress.org. Their support is at https://wordpress.org/support/ or regarding common errors, https://wordpress.org/support/article/common-wordpress-errors/

  • Hi there,

Your site was built using the open source WordPress software made on WordPress.org, and hosted at One.com.

WordPress.com is another hosting provider for that software, and as your site wasn’t hosted on our servers, we don’t have any control over or access to the site. So unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to help you from our end.

Your site just loading as a white screen points to a fatal error, i.e. a conflict introduced by a plugin, an error somewhere in the code, or a file that got corrupted during an update, or even a database issue is breaking WordPress before it even has a chance to load the processes that normally check for this type of thing. This is commonly referred to as the “white screen of death/WSOD”, though it’s not quite as terminal as that makes it sound :)

If your hosting plan at One.com includes site backups, the quickest solution would be to contact their support for help restoring a backup.

But the issue might just reoccur the next time whatever update caused this runs again, so it’s ultimately better to find the cause. You can check the documentation on WordPress.org for troubleshooting and fixing the most common causes of this problem:

    https://wordpress.org/support/article/common-wordpress-errors/

For more help with that, please ask the WordPress.org community for advice, as they have much more experience with this type of issue than we have here on WordPress.com:
