Hi there,
When a WordPress.com plan expires, the website doesn’t get deleted immediately — it simply becomes inactive and certain features (including access to the domain) get hidden from your dashboard. Here’s what normally happens:
1. Your site content is usually still stored: WordPress.com keeps your website data for a while even after the plan expires.
So in most cases, the pages, posts, design, and settings can be restored.2. Your domain becomes inactive: If the domain was purchased through WordPress.com, it goes into a grace period.
Once you renew your plan or repurchase the domain, it should reappear in your dashboard.3. Restoring your website: The simple way to get your website back is:
- Log into your WordPress.com account
- Go to Purchases → Renew
- Renew the same plan you had before
Once the plan is active again, your website and design should automatically restore.
4. If you can’t see the website at all: It may be linked to a different login email.
Try checking any alternate emails you might have used.If you still can’t locate it, you may need to share your site address (if you remember it) and I can guide you on the next step.
