Website redesign and transfer

  Hi,

  I recently did a redesign for a client that was on WordPress.com and paying for the business package and has her domain with WordPress.com.
  When I did the redesign on a temporary domain I moved her from WordPress.com to WordPress.org and she is now hosted with Siteground. Her Domain is still with wordpress. I changed to domain from temporary to her domain so there was no subdomains or requirement for redirects etc.

  Now the transfer is completed and the new site is what are the steps for the old website and wordpress.com – Does she just stop paying for wordpress.com and that’s it? Is there anything she needs to do with the domain name for it to continue to be live through wordpress? Is there anything else I should know?

  What is the URL of the site in question? It will be much easier to track down the correct answers if we can look at the specific site.

  Hi there,

  These public forums are the only option for free accounts such as yours that do not have an upgrade. Does your client still maintain active upgrades under their account such as a Business plan? If so I recommend that they reach out to us directly (under their account) by going to https://wordpress.com/help/contact

  They will still have priority (private) support access, and we will be happy to walk them through the process of transferring their domain registration, as well as canceling any unneeded upgrades and closing their account.
