Website reverted back to old version with account downgrade
-
I requested a downgrade on my WP plan as I didn’t need all the expensive plugins and wanted a simplified version of my current site.
I didn’t have any fancy CSS code or themes and used the blocks editor – which were all still available on a Personal Account.
But when the downgrade was processed, my site reverted back to a 2021 version before I upgraded.
This is disastrous for me as I recently launched a new campaign and sets of contact pages!
Any way to fix this?
The WP agent never said anything about this happening.

Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out.
A downgrade from a WordPress.com Business plan does place the site back to it’s state before the first theme or plugin was installed, so it looks like the theme needs to be reactivated.
It looks like the Hever theme was in use, and can be activated here: https://andristander.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=pub/hever
With regards to the content, are you able to confirm if you’re missing anything?
Lastly, rest assured, I’ve created a back up of the site from when it was on the WordPress.com Business plan to help with this case – we can look to re-add anything missing, within the realms of the WordPress.com Premium plan features.
I hope this helps so far.
