Hi. I want to create a website with a public homepage, but with a registration process that will allow me to vet users and them grant them access to the main website content once I have reviewed their registration form. No costs involved. Is there a simple way of doing this on WordPress? Thanks!

That depends on how do you envision this exactly. You can set the whole site as private and only add approve the users of your choice but you can also create a form on the homepage and set a password for your other pages. Once the person submits the form, you’ll be able to reach out and send them the password:
