Website Setup/Change

    Need to know how to set up my blog to be on MY website (my domain) and not a word press website that is, as it currently is. Is there a cost to do this? What about hosting?

    Hi there,

    You can add a custom address to your site (instead of using the “wordpress.com” address we assign) by upgrading to any of the plans listed here: https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    All our plans include a free domain (for the first year) if you do not already have one. If you already own a domain with another provider, a free transfer is included instead.

    What about hosting?

    The terminology can be a bit misleading here, since we are not a “traditional web host” like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. However we do currently “host” all your sites, wether they are free or upgraded.

    So with that in mind, there is no extra charge for hosting, the upgrade plans instead give your site extra functionality that is not included in the sites we are already hosting for you.
