Website Setup Issues – Google Analytics & Offline Settings ?

  I am transitioning from another web host & creating new website using WordPress.com, and have to brief questions : QUESTION #1- I am currently using Google Analytics but the indication from looking at support entry under “traffic” topic is that this stat service is NOT currently supported by WordPress, is this correct?? QUESTION #2- Is there a way to switch website offline during initial setup / maintenance periods, or is the website published to the web at all times ??

  Howdy,

  That’s correct on #1—Google Analytics is not supposed on WordPress.com.

  You can modify your Privacy Settings to make your site “private” while you are working on it. During that time, only you (and other users you’ve invited) can see your site.
