Website showing "not found"

http://wonderspress.com is showing “not found”. I cleared cache and cookies, tried another computer, but no other ISP available in my area.

As you will see, the header and left side list of pages are showing, but no content. I’ve probably missed some setting that I should have noticed, and hope you can help.

I did run the tracert command. Here are the results:

  • Hi there, to get some content showing up on your front page, you have two choices. Head over to Settings > Reading, and either:

    1) Set your front page to display “Your latest posts.” You’ll then need to publish at least one post.

    2) Select which page you want to be displayed on your front page, by choosing a page from the drop-down menu next to the words “Front page.” Here’s a screenshot for this option: http://cl.ly/image/421u462l3X2r

If you choose option 2, you can learn more about how to set up a static Front Page.

If you need help with either of these options, just let me know.

    Hello —

Many thanks for your reply. I had set up a static front page and had also gone to Settings>Reading and made the choices you suggested. I had also saved these changes. (I made notes on what I had done.)But when I went back today, those changes had disappeared! So I reselected and saved them again. This time it worked. I’m now seeing the correct page and “not found” is no longer there.

I wonder if weekend heavy internet traffic might have had something to do with the disappearance . . . . Who knows? (My ISP is rather unreliable on weekends, as this is a rural area and they have too many wireless customers for their bandwidth.
    Cheers & thanks!

  • You’re most welcome – glad it’s all sorted out!
