Website slow to update changes

When I make changes to my website and then press update, it sometimes takes +/-24 hours to update on mobile devices and desktop browsers. I’m using the Elementor plugin with WordPress. How long should I expect updates to take? I was under the impression that it should be nearly instantaneous.
