Hi,
Looking to create a website with one part of it being a marketplace type setup where individuals can create an account and both buy and sell one off type items. Is this achievable at a reasonably affordable price through WordPress, as I have previously tried on Shopify to little success. I would like it to function similar to sites such as TradeMe or Ebay.I was also looking at joining the business plan but it appears you have to pay a one-off sum for the year as opposed to monthly? Is it possible to pay monthly?

– No, WordPress doesn’t provide any monthly payment system. All the subscriptions and domain registrations are paid annually.

– Yes, this is possible with in the business plan of WordPress. Where you can use Woo Commerce extensions to achieve this. Some of the extensions you use might be paid one some are free all depend on what exactly you need to achieve .
If you want to make a store having multiple vendors and multiple customers then you need to add product vendor extension of Woo Commerce that will help you to make the store like you have given the requirements.
