It seems your site has been set to private. You must set your site to Public – https://wordpress.com/support/privacy-settings/make-your-website-private/

Hi there!
It sounds like your homepage is working, but all other pages are returning 404 errors. Here are some steps you can try to fix this:
1. Refresh Your Permalink Settings
This often fixes broken links:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Permalinks
- Don’t change anything, just click “Save Changes”
- This will refresh the permalink structure
2. Check Domain and DNS Settings
If you’re using a custom domain, ensure:
- It is properly mapped in My Site → Upgrades → Domains
- The domain points to WordPress.com’s nameservers: CopyEdit
ns1.wordpress.com ns2.wordpress.com ns3.wordpress.com
If the domain was registered externally (like GoDaddy or Namecheap), make sure the DNS is updated correctly on their platform.
3. Disable Any Recently Added Plugins or Themes
If the issue started after installing a new plugin or theme:
- Go to My Site → Plugins → Installed Plugins and try deactivating them
- Check if the problem is resolved
4. Clear Cache
- Clear your browser cache
- If you’re using a caching plugin or CDN (like Cloudflare), purge the cache from there too
5. Still Not Working?
If it’s a free WordPress.com site:
- Custom plugins and .htaccess access aren’t available, so reach out to WordPress.com support for help.
If it’s self-hosted (WordPress.org):
- Check your
.htaccessfile and make sure it has the default WordPress rules (happy to share those if needed)
Let me know your site URL and whether you’re using WordPress.com or a self-hosted site, and I’d be happy to guide you further!
Hope this helps!
