WEBSITE TEMPLATE IDEA
-
I need to find a word press template that will allow us to prompt for a username and password before allowing another user (my employee) to gain access to the website.
We will use this to upload our training materials to the website so they can be referenced anytime when our employee needs help with something.

Hi,
Yes, you can add password protection to any page or post, as well as restrict content to certain users. This is universal across all themes and templates. You can find more details here:

If you need more specific assistance, please post additional questions! Thanks!

nohoperadio – based on the article you sent me, it looks like I have to install a plug in for that right? I truly appreciate your help in here!

Hello,
No plugin is necessary. When you go to where you edit the page, in the column on the left-hand side you’ll see Visibility Settings on the top portion of that column. The option to password protect the page will be on there. Below is a screenshot.

Hope this helps! :)

Hi I just want to find a way if its possible for us, to create a website that would prompt a username andpasscode before a user can entirely open the whole website? not just password per links but it is whenever a user would hit enter after typing the website domain then a prompt would show that I need to enter a username and password before I can view on what is inside the website

Yes, you need to use a membership plugin if the built in password protected pages/posts won’t work. I suggest building a test site to try it out before deciding to upgrade in order to use plugins.
