Website title when linking is (no name)
-
Hello!
I’m wanting to use Seedlet but I want my logo as the header. Considering my logo has the name of my blog in it, it’s a bit redundant to have the site title set up to say the same and other thng’s just don’t look good.
On the page for the Seedlet theme, it says you can hide the site title and just use On the page fort the theme it says:
If your business has a logo, you can display it in your site’s header. Here’s how:
Open My Site → Customize and click on the Site Identity section.
Click the Add logo button to open the Media Manager.
Upload a new image, or select one that’s already in your Media Library.
Click Set as logo and you’ll see your logo appear in the preview.
If your logo includes your site’s name or you prefer the header only to display your logo, you can hide the site title by unchecking the box next to Display Site Title.
Click the Publish button on top to save your changes.Yet, when I go to my settings and go to the sit identity thing, it has no box to check or uncheck to display site title. Is this a bug?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I don’t think it’s a bug, but rather that the theme was designed without such a checkbox. I believe on the Seedlet theme you’d need Custom CSS to hide the title, but I’ll call for staff attention in case I’ve missed something. Staff will respond here.

Hi @ashleyheylen I’ve checked on my end and can confirm the option does not appear for me either, despite the fact that it is noted in the theme setup info.
I’ve reported this to our theme team so they can take a closer look but it is not clear to me at this point of there is an issue with the theme, or if the documentation itself is incorrect.
Until we hear back on this, you may want to switch to a different theme that does offer the ability to hide the logo: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/block-editor-styles
The other option as @musicdoc1 suggests is to upgrade to the WordPress.com Premium Plan, which has the ability to add custom CSS, such as code to hide the site title.
Hope this helps!
