  Hello! Currently I have my website on Shopify, but will close my store. I would like to move over to Wordspress so I may continue my blog. How can I transfer my domain? Also, once I’m on wordpress how would I be able to redirect my old blog links to my new blog link? Thanks in advance. :-)

  Hi there!

  If you have a custom domain registered elsewhere and you purchased one of our paid plans, you can use that domain as your primary address for your WordPress.com site.

  You can either map it – your domain will stay with the current registrar and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related.

  Or you can transfer the domain to WordPress.com and we’ll be your new registrar. This way you’ll manage everything from one place and you’ll be able to reach support with any domain related-issues :)

  As for the links on your old blog, I’m afraid these will stop working. I’m not sure if you could use some redirect on Shopify side, for that it’s best to ask their support team directly or post to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
