Website Transfer to New Owner

    I have transferred the domain, and now need to transfer the website. The wordpress help documentation says to ‘contact us’ and points me to this page.

    It doesn’t look like this domain was ever registered here at WordPress.com and it was not transferred to WordPress.com, Additionally your WordPress.com account does not have any website associated with it.

    It’s likely that you need to get your site content from your previous host – in that case you would ideally need to contact your previous host directly, as this is not something that we at WordPress.com can help with.

    You may also be able to get some suggestions for how to transfer your website content from the community forums of WordPress.org (which is where the WordPress software comes from):

    The website I need to transfer is http://spiritcanyonherbals.com. I may have logged into the wrong wordpress account somehow. I’ve already transferred the domain to the new owner, but the files are still in my bluehost account. It was an e-commerce website with a number of plugins (including Woocommerce), so that’s how I ended up here. Here’s the help page I was looking at… https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for clarifying. The website http://spiritcanyonherbals.com is currently hosted with Bluehost.

    To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    The domain is still registered at Bluehost, so I assume the site will remain there. If that’s the case, you would need to contact Bluehost support for help in transferring the WordPress installation to the new owner. You can reach them here: https://www.bluehost.com/contact
