Hi there!
I’ll be happy to help you with this.
I found that you set your custom domain spotlitelive.com as the primary address, but the domain is not pointing to WordPress.com nameservers or IP addresses yet. That is causing the issue with the site not loading properly.
If you’d like to work on your site first before configuring the domain, you can make your free WordPress.com address primary by following the instructions here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/set-a-primary-address/#use-a-free-site-address
Doing so will let you access your WordPress.com site even before the domain is configured.
To point the domain to WordPress.com, you’ll want to log into your domain registrar’s website and follow one of the following instructions:
- Change nameservers to point the domain to WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/#step-2-change-your-domains-name-servers
- Or, use WordPress.com IPs: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-a-domain-alternative-method/
(Note: You’ll need to wait up to 72 hours for the changes to take effect.)
Transfer your Google Domain for free
I noticed that your domain is perhaps registered with Google Domains. Did you know that you could transfer domains from Google Domains to WordPress.com at no cost?
Google recently sold Google Domains to another company, and we have a limited-time promotion currently running that will let you transfer your domain from Google to WordPress.com for absolutely no charge. We’ll also renew the domain for one year after the transfer is completed.
If you’d like to take this offer and get a free year of domain renewal, please follow the steps here to transfer your domain from Google Domains to WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/transfer-google-domains/
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.
