Website uploading problem

    I upload website in zip format but no uploading Oops! We ran into an unexpected error while uploading your file.
    Make sure you are using a valid WordPress export file in XML or ZIP format

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    Hi,

    When you say you are ‘uploading a website’, are you uploading a .zip which was generated by Tools > Export of your other WordPress site or rather trying to upload an actual full site files compressed .zip which was generated by a plug-in?

    You can only import .xml content export files generated by the default Export tool of WordPress, you will not be able to import your whole website as a .zip (themes, plugins and other sub folders included), unless you’re on the Business plan or above.
