    Hello, I don’t want to synch right away my current website URL with WordPress because I need time to create my new website there, and don’t want my actual website to be taken down.

    Correct account: Yes

    Hello –

    That’s no problem at all. What you can do is build the new site on your free site address. Leave the current website URL as it is, and then wait to connect the URL to that new site you built here once it’s all ready to go.

    Here’s how you connect the domain: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

    This process allows you to keep the old site as it is, and not take it down until the new one is ready. If you’re needing help with anything else just write back and let me know. Be well.
