Website url not linking to new home page

  I have tried to change my home page. Now when I type in my url, studioceramicscanada.com, I am now directed to my most recent blog post, not the new home page. I have configured the menu and tried editing the new page permalink to the above url. But it keeps on coming out as http://studioceramicscanada.com/home. I would like it to read only studioceramicscanada.com. I have trashed the original home page and emptied the trash. In short, when I type in my url I would like readers to go to the home page not the blog. Help!

  Hi there!

  You can make studioceramicscanada.com direct to your Home page through Settings > Reading:

  https://studioceramicscanada.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

  Select “A static page” next to “Front page displays.” And then select your “Home” page from the “Front page” drop down menu.
