Website verification on Pinterest
-
I am trying to have my website, http://www.tranquiloasisreflexology.com verified on Pinterest. I have inserted the meta tag. Pinterest is unable to find it. When I look in the address line when in the dashboard, it includes .wordpress in the address. Would this cause the problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
OK, I see what the problem is! What you’ve done is pasted in the name of the html file which contains your verification information. Instead, what you need to do is open up that file using a text editor (such as Notepad) and get the information out of it. You can then paste the important line out of it into the correct field in your account’s Dashboard.
We have a help file which walks you through it here:

I have followed the instructions that are given in the Support section that you forwarded. I am getting the following message:
We couldn’t find the meta tag. We checked at http://tranquiloasisreflexology.com
I also tried with www at the beginning. I got the same response. Do I have a top-level domain?

Hiya!
You do indeed have a top level domain, tranquiloasisreflexology.com.
I went and checked, and you still have the name of an html file entered in where it should just have the contents of one.
What you should have in there will look like this:
<meta name='p:domain_verify' content='f100679e6048d45e4a0b0b92dce1efce'>But with different numbers and letters for the content.

I tried that about a dozen times…this time it worked!!! Thank you so much for your help. :)

Hi there,
I actually just got a message from one of my peers that Pinterest may have been having some issues on their end. I apologize about that! I’m glad that it is working for you now.
Have a great weekend!
