Website vs blog site

  What is the difference between a blog site and website? It seems as though they have similar features. I have a blog site already and would like to know how a website would be different. Thank you

  Hi,

  A blog is a website that is centered around posts. It’s sort of like a diary, where each post is similar to a diary entry. A “website” is a more broader category and there are all kinds of websites: there are websites that are similar to newspapers (like The New York Times website), websites that enable you to watch videos (like YouTube), website that are dedicated to commerce (like Amazon) and other types.

  Those are roughly the differences – as I understand them.
