Website without blog

I know WordPress is for blogging. I also know you can move the blog page and use a static page as the front page. But is it possible to “hide” the actual blog entirely and only work with static pages? Like making it more of an actual website. I lovwe WordPress so much I’d like to create a simple website using it :)

Yes, you can do that by simply not setting a “posts” page, or alternately you can set a posts page, but then set that page to either private or make it a child page of another page and it will not show up in the top navigation of most themes here. If you are using a theme without top navigation and using the pages widget, you can exclude the blog page you create from the pages widget.
