Website won't show up on Google

    My website won’t show up on Google and I’ve had it for about a month now. I paid the $18 to register my domain name and I should be able to see my website show up for the money. I would like some assistance with this.

    In addition, how do you remove the timestamp for a post?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

    WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every post and page update. The search engines can take 4-6 weeks or more to add any new sites. For more information about WordPress.com and Search Engines, please see:

    Connecting a Google account with verified site ownership through Google’s webmaster tools may help register your site for inclusion. Please contact Google for more information:

    With themes, you cannot delete the timestamp from the post as it would require editing the underlying PHP file which is not allowed on WordPress.com. However, with the Custom Design upgrade, you would be able to modify the theme’s CSS to hide the display of the timestamp. The Custom Design upgrade is $30 per blog/per year and allows you to set custom colors, fonts, and the use of CSS. Here’s more information on this upgrade:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/

    If you decide to purchase this upgrade, you would enter this code into your CSS Editor under Appearance -> Customize:

    #main .entry-meta {
    display: none;
    }

    That will hide the date/comment link metadata on your site’s homepage.

    I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
