website working but back end in wordpress admin has disappeared
-
I used to be able to see the back end of my website here on my wordpress admin account, and make edits. All of a sudden the whole back end is gone, but the live view end is still working.
What is going on? Why has the back end disappeared, reflecting no website at all!

Hey there,
Can you let us know the URL of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

Hi there!
I can see the login screen at this link: https://twinmoving.com/wp-login.php – Are you unable to log in using the credentials?
Also, please note that this site isn’t hosted by us at WordPress.com. It uses WordPress.org and is hosted by GoDaddy, a different hosting service provider.
There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it: WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org.
You can try resetting the password at this link if your login credentials aren’t working. If you still need help, you will want to contact your hosting service provider GoDaddy. Because the site is hosted don their platform, they can help you log in.
For general questions related to WordPress.org sites, you can post on the WordPress.org support forum here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums

Hey there,
Many thanks for getting back to us with that confirmation.
It looks like the site needs to be reconnected to WordPress.com via the Jetpack plugin. This can be done here: https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/
I hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I am not seeing anywhere a plugins option? In the help section jet pack search comes up but only as a mobile app, does this make sense? Thank you !

Hi there!
Just to confirm, have you logged into your site at https://twinmoving.com/wp-admin? You will see the plugins section once you’re logged in directly on your site.
To clarify, your site isn’t hosted by us at WordPress.com. It uses WordPress.org and is hosted by a different hosting service provider.
It sounds like you had this site connected to your WordPress.com account (via the Jetpack plugin), which would have let you manage the site from your WordPress.com account even though the site wasn’t hosted here.
So, to get that feature back, you’d need to reconnect Jetpack. You need to do that by installing the Jetpack plugin on your site directly via the WP admin dashboard and then activating it to get the prompt to connect it to your WordPress.com account. Once Jetpack is connected, you will see the site on your WordPress.com dashboard again.
Hope that helps!
