  Good morning,

  I am planning on redesigning three websites for our company. I have looked into several templates, etc, but I’m wondering if WordPress is the right choice since these are Websites, NOT blogs. Is there a separate area I should be looking? I want this to look, feel, and work like a normal website without blog functionality straight out of the gate (I don’t want workarounds). Is that something wordpress offers? Does the $299/year only cover one site? Or can I have multiple sites at that price.

  You can use “pages” to create a traditional type of website: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

  The $299/year covers one site.

  WordPress.com is a great site, and as micawbr mentioned, you can use “pages” combined with other features to create a “normal” (non-blog) website. But based on your strongly stated preference, you might want to explore other options, such as sites which specialize in the type of site you’re trying to create. WordPress.com is primarily a blogging site.
