Websites name and chronological order
-
Hello,
I misspelled my blogs name. Instead of two “tt” I have two “dd” in a word. How do I change this permanantly? In my account settings it does show it correctly, but it still shows up incorrectly on the top of the page.
And second question.
I started a blog this December, but I went back writing about something that happened in August.
I would like to have my posts in chronological order. How do I do this?I read about the add on of the date and then ?order=asc, but I am not sure.
Should I add 2014/12 or since the date I started writing about was August “2014/08”?
Thanks.

In regards to the blog URL:
When I found your blog I saw that you were able to change the name of the blog to fifthgearfullthrottle. In order to change the address of the blog itself, you have to dig a little deeper.I was able to find some documentation on how to change the blog address- however when I tried to replicate this, I couldn’t find the ‘My Blogs’ on the new dashboard. I had to revert to the Classic Dashboard in order to find the ‘My Blogs’ link.
Here are the instructions on how to change your blog URL: http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/
In regards to posting in chronological order:
You are able to change the date of a post, so that it posts in the order that you want to. The easiest method I have found is to manually alter the post date before you publish. This option is fine if you only have a couple posts you want to change the order of.Im sure you have found the documentation about chronological posts, but I will include it here incase you have any further questions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/
And this specifically talks about manually changing the publish date:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/show-your-posts-in-chronological-order/#alter-the-publish-dateGood luck!

Thank you so much for your response.
I think altering the dates manually will not be possible, since I didn’t write the dates too many times as you probably were able to see in my blog.
I just would like the oldest post to show at the top, then the second oldest and so on.
Sorry if my question or problem seems kind of naiv, but I am really new to this whole blog business.I still have to try to change the blogs address. Didn’t get to it yet.
Thanks.

@evangelina07
Your username is linked to a blog URL that has not been registered.
fifthgearfullthrottle.wordpress.com doesn’t exist1. Do you want to register fifthgearfullthrottle.wordpress.com?
2. What exactly is the URL of the blog you refer to in the original post you made to create this thread please?
Confirming the URL and exactly where the blog is hosted is the first step for anyone who provides support here at WordPress.COM. If and when we do not confirm the URL we run the risk of providing instructions for WordPress.COM blogs that do not apply to WordPress.ORG installs. About 30% of those who post here day in and day out are actually seeking WordPress.ORG support and we don’t provide it here.

Hello timethief,
oh, I didn’t know I have to register it. The original blogs name is the same one, just misspelled. Instead of “throttle” I spelled it “throddle”.
@firsiteg,
I have tried to follow the provoded link, I get to “my blogs” and that’s it. Maybe I have to register like timethief suggested. My blogs name/ address does not show up. -

@Evangelina07 I see two separate sites in your account.
https://fifthgearfullthrottle.wordpress.com/ and
https://fifthgearfullthroddle.wordpress.com/Which means instead of using the change blog address process, you simply created a new site. This is ok, but your content is all on the “dd” site and you want it on the “tt” site.
The easiest way to move your posts at this point is to export it from the old site and import it into the new site.
Here are instructions for exporting your content:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/When that step is done, you can add your content back to your new “tt” site by following the import process.
Please let me know if you have any trouble with that process.
Once you get your content moved, let me know and we can talk about how to get your posts to appear in the order you would prefer.

Correct, I have two. All my posts are under the “dd” one. I didn’t want to risk loosing all my posts so I just left it. It’s okay. If you can change it into the “tt” that would be great, if not, no big deal.
I am not am PC whiz and all new to this blog business. -
I was able to copy the posts to the other site for you. So if you just add your new posts to https://fifthgearfullthrottle.wordpress.com/ instead of https://fifthgearfullthroddle.wordpress.com/ you should be set.
