Weebly to WordPress

  I recently attempted to migrate a site from Weebly to WordPress. Because I had a placeholder WordPress site under a different domain name, all I wanted to do was point my placeholder WordPress site to the new domain (that was previously in Weebly). I transferred the domain registrar to Cloudfare without any issues. I also transferred the hosting to Cloudways without issues. I had a working WordPress site with a temporary domain name, and when I attempted to point that site to a new domain name (the one I successfully transferred to Cloudfare registration and Cloudways hosting), I got all sorts of errors. Any tips on debugging the issue and fixing it?

  Hi @cheikenberg, can you confirm whether you were using these steps?

  It sounds like you might have transferred into your own WordPress installation with another host (rather than hosting here), in which case you’ll want to use the forums here instead:
  https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

  You might also try searching for some of the errors you’re getting, as someone may have already posted fixes.

  Thanks for the help @supernovia. I had tired myself searching for the answer, but I eventually found it. Glad to say this is now resolved. Thanks for the direction!
