Weekly digest emails

I have tried multiple times now to stop weekly digest emails. Have set emails to ‘never send’ have checked box to block emails. Nothing works and every week I get nearly 100 emails pinging through before 7am. I don’t want to unfollow all the blogs I follow because then I can’t read them on my reader. Have asked twice on Twitter, once someone told me what to do (didn’t work) and now they’re saying they can’t help me on there for security reasons. Not very helpful either way.
I just want the digest emails to STOP without stopping notification emails.

I have, yes! Tried that last week and still got emails today. Went back to that page and box was unchecked so I’ve checked it again!

I’m the person who answered you via Twitter. I said I cannot make changes to an account if requested via Twitter, as I don’t have proof you own the account. That’s why I emailed you a week ago, after saying on Twitter I’ll do that. I have not received a reply to that email yet.
Your account logs show that you have set the notification settings to block all emails 20 hours ago. I can see you’ve changed the subscription frequency setting several times over the past few weeks, but you’ve only been blocking emails since yesterday.
The setting is now to block all new emails, and we haven’t sent any new subscription emails since you changed that setting.
I also emailed you these instructions, but you can see how to manage the subscription settings for individual sites here:

I got your instructions and followed them there and then. INCLUDING checking that box. But still the emails came through AND when I went back again box was unchecked. I know I did this, because I remember doing it just before I sent a screenshot on Twitter asking why I get emails when my setting also says ‘never send emails’, which is very unclear.

At what email address are you receiving notifications?
For the email address appearing in your account settings subscriptions are definitely being blocked, and we haven’t sent anything except notifications of this forum thread for the past 24 hours.
But you could be signed up to some sites using a different email address, in which case you won’t be able to control it from this account’s settings, and the unsubscribe links won’t work if you’re logged into this account.

No you’re misunderstanding. Last Monday (28th) I contacted you on Twitter because I was still receiving digest emails despite setting my email settings to ‘never send emails’. I got an email from you telling me that I also needed to check the ‘block all emails’ to stop them, which I then did on the 28th. Then this Monday (5th) I still received multiple digest emails and contacted you on Twitter again because I am frustrated. I followed those instructions last week and still got weekly digest emails on this Monday just gone, I just want assurances that I am not going to get them next week because so far I have little faith and it’s highly annoying to keep having my phone pinging in my ear over and over again when I’m on my way to work.

Your account logs don’t show that this setting has ever been changed until two days ago, so it could be that they did not save.
Now you are blocking emails – that setting is now saved – so unless you unblock them again, you shouldn’t receive any more new post notifications.
