Weird link code appearing in add new post

    Suddenly, there appears this link code at the end of a new post. I noticed it now when I was about to write a new blog post. The code appeared in the editor and is visible in the preview at the end of the post. Deleting it, including deleting the whole code via the text view of the editor got rid of it at first, but once you reload it again, it reappears. So I tried to add a new post as a test, and it came up again in the same way. I took screen captures of it all:

    hi,

    I suspect there is a program on your current computer that is inserting those links.

    Can you try writing a post from a different computer and let us know whether the strange link still appears ?

    Brilliant ! Thank you so much for your advice kosiew.

    Both my wife, Natascha (who is also a WordPress blogger) had the same problem. The only thing new that we had added recently was a flowchart app, draw dot io, extension on Google Chrome. On removing that extension two things happened. Firstly, the code disappeared from Add New post on both our blogs. Secondly, we had a problem with liking other bloggers’ posts. Our avatars would show, but not lock and that would show up when we returned to the posts to find our avatars had disappeared. Likes have now returned to normal locking. I did open a thread on the forum about this Like problem not realising that the Google app was causing both issues.

    I have reported this draw-dot-io Google Chrome app extension, which caused all our WP issues, to Google.
