Weird padding or spacing issues between blocks
-
I’ve had this problem for about two weeks and I don’t think it’s any of my doing. I’m using the Marl theme on a free blog (https://yourwizardrockresource.wordpress.com/). There is weird spacing between the hero image block and the pullquote block, as well as above the header. Here are some screenshots to show what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/dKDRisN
Media&Text blocks also do not have padding after them and stack right up against each other, even though they should have gaps between. Example: https://yourwizardrockresource.wordpress.com/encyclopedia/wizard-rock-sampler/

Hi there!
It looks “off” because there is a 1px black top and bottom border on pullquotes in this theme:

The CSS in question:
.wp-block-pullquote { border-width: 1px 0; border-style: solid; }In order to remove that, you would need to upgrade to a Premium plan or higher to give you access to the CSS editor to remove that border styling. If you do decide to upgrade, we can advise on how to set that up.
I hope that clarifies things!

No, that is not what I mean. There has always been a black border, and I am fine with that. I am talking about the fact that the space BETWEEN the bottom border and the following block is there, but the space between the TOP border and the block above it is non-existent. Why??? It makes no sense to have blocks have no spacing between them in some combinations, but not others.
Your reply also does not answer the other two issues I mentioned:
1. Why is there extra space above the heading (reading “Home”) that is not visible in the site editor? It seems to be present for other size headings as well.
2. Why do the Media&Text blocks have no spacing between each other when placed immediately after each other? I find it hard to believe that this is intentional when it’s immensely ugly.
All these changes originated several weeks ago, all at the same time, perhaps due to an update in the theme. Right now, I don’t really care exactly what caused them. I just want to know if they will disappear if I switch to a different block theme.
