Weird publicise problem

I’ve long had my blog connected to Twitter and Yahoo! Updates with no problems – but when I started editing a new post today, the ‘publicise’ section on my edit page had a notice on it which read:
“To enable Publicize: Yahoo! Updates, you will need to authorize your WordPress.com account on Another Kind Of Mind to connect with your Yahoo! Updates account.
Authorize connection with Yahoo! Updates”
However, when I go into the Sharing Settings section of my Dashboard, it tells me that I am still connected to Yahoo! Updates (and Twitter).
Very odd!
Is this just a glitch or something I should be worried about?

I am getting the impression from other threads that staff are tinkering with the Publicize options. I’d report it to them via the Dashboard Help button.

Well, I had similar issue last night with my facebook account. I thought the notice popped up because I’ve changed my facebook password. I just followed the notice and everything back to normal.

I have had this happen in the past and usually deleting the app on Facebook and reapplying it fixed it. Did not work this time. lol

I am having the same problem…and I am hoping it desn’t get fixed and then publish the same post a zillion times to facebook for each time I tried to publicize it!!! But still hoping the problem does get fixed.

Thanks for the replies but I don’t have my blog connected to Facebook so that’s not the problem!
Have tried clicking on the link to authorise Yahoo! Updates but that sends me straight through to an error page…
I’ll be reporting this to staff as raincoaster suggests.

I tried to reestablish the Yahoo publicize on my blog to fix this myself. It give me this error: Yahoo! is unable to process your request. We recommend that you contact the owner of the application or web site to resolve this issue. [95025]

I’m having the same problem in ‘Publicize’, but with Facebook, demanding re-authorization for each new post. Like nandobase I recently changed my FB password. I’m not having this problem with Twitter, however. Perhaps the issue is specific to some platforms?

I’m getting the same messages as carolhagen and the same error message! Weird, huh I’ll hold on to see if it gets “fixed.”

yeah, i’m having the same problem with the facebook…
i tried to set on “my blog” setting, but when i click connect wich facebook, it always come back to dashboard page. and if i do it manually on the new post, it also happened, back to the dashboard page… -

Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog your are referring to when you post to this forum.If and only if, it’s a free blog being free hosted WordPress.com blog and you have been using Publicize then please try reconnecting using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook

Just to let you know that I finally managed to connect with Yahoo through the link on my edit page and all is now sorted!
