Weird situation: Website has two URLs, need to remove one (www and non-www)

    Hello,

    I have the website http://www.offbeattravelling.com self-hosted but I think during the installation something went wrong. After buying some webhosting space for my url “www.offbeattravelling.com”, I performed a one-click wordpress install on the server, I installed the Genesis framework, a theme and opened up a blog.

    Now I have the situation that my blog carries two urls somehow, which makes it impossible to boost SEO. It is a really weird situation that I cannot find anything about on the web.

    Here is a screenshot from ‘setting>>general’ if I entered my website through “offbeattravelling.com”:

    And here is the screenshot if I put “www.” in front of the url:

    In my opinion the blog should be registered under “www.offbeattravelling.com”, when you do not typ the “www.” in a browser, it will direct you automatically to the “www.offbeattravelling.com” anyway. But how the situation is now, is that Google sees two different websites, and therefor SEO goes wrong.

    Where can I see that there are two URLs registered for my one blog website? And how can I overwrite, so that there is just one?

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the Theme support forums there.
