Weird stock image on link

I’m the blog director for my university radio station and we use WordPress to host our online blog, uicradio.org. Last year, we temporarily lost the custom url (.org) but got it back soon after, and since then, whenever we link our online radio stream link under the tab ‘Listen Live’ anywhere on social media (to Facebook, for example) it attaches a weird stock image of a man in a business suit. In other words, it has nothing to do with a college radio and looks very misleading when we share the link online. It’s essential that we share the link to gain listeners, and having this image stuck to our stream hinders our listenership. I was wondering if there was any way to fix this to auto-default to our site icon or any other custom image.

Thanks for any help or advice in advance!

Hi! You can try disconnecting and then reconnecting your social media sharing accounts to see if that helps. You can do that from the Sharing Section of your dashboard.

You can check and see what Facebook sees when it scrapes information from your site by going to https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/ and pasting in the URL of a blog post and then clicking “fetch new Scrape Information”

I ran this post https://uicradio.wordpress.com/2017/07/25/review-lana-del-rey-lust-for-life/ Through and as you can see here: http://i.imgur.com/IKfzyqP.png?1 It appears to show the correct picture of Lana Del Rey.

Make sure you set the featured image for each post and that it is an appropriate size, otherwise Facebook may try to pull a different image it thinks is related to the post you are going to share.

    Hope that helps!
