Welcome page publish

My Welcome page will not post. I have the date and time correct, but it will not publish. please help.

Strange. I’ll try to help you out with this. Should be an easy fix.
Would you please first try out this:
– log in to your wp-admin panel at https://emfnyc.wordpress.com/wp-admin
– in the main menu, click Settings > Reading.
– at the top, where it says Front Page Displays, have you chosen Your latest posts or A static page?
– if you have chosen A static page, make sure you choose pages that you do know you still have active on your site (and haven’t deleted it previously).Let me know how it goes.

Did you get an invite to become a contributor to this site? Or did you start this site yourself?
If you got an invite, you might only have a role of Contributor, and in that case you can’t publish anything, just send posts to be reviewed. Read more about it here:

If you have a role where you can actually publish posts, try out this:
1 – log in to your site at https://emfnyc.wordpress.com/wp-admin
2 – in the main menu, click either Post or Pages and then click on the post or page you can’t publish. Are you able to hit the Publish button or change the post/page status like I am in this picture (see circled areas):

I am the sole creator owner and author. ..and yes, there’s no publish button as is on my other WordPress site. Now, also…I lost all of my menu pages and the menu setting is ghosted out! …so, I can’t even get it back. My main page was a Welcome page, but now it’s an OOPS! I am getting ready to ditch the wordpress.com and try something else. FWIW, I’ve designed about 5-6 websites in my lifetime and this has been the most user difficult. Thanks, for your help. I will stick it out with your help if you and I have the patience.

finnjamesj – you’re running in to trouble because your account was not verified via email when everything was originally setup. This email may have found its way in to your spam or other folders. You can activate directly from that email – OR – you can simply reply to the email that I have sent your way and I’ll manually activate the account for you. But first, I need to make sure you have access to the email address on the account at wordpress.com/me/account/
I hope this helps to clear things up :)

I verified this account countless times, so I have no idea how it is reading unverified. Thank you both for your help. I plan on moving on to a different platform.
