Well…. this is frustrating

Why is it that WordPress insists on merely making a dollar while amatuer website makers are struggling to get their website online? What I mean is, I have the free plan, I don’t pay anything, just tried to launch my third site, and it won’t let me. Then I go to live chat support (which worked fine yesterday), and I’m told that I have to go to the community forum to ask my questions. Here’s the issue, I’ve never used ANY platform or encountered ANY organization who requires customers to pay for customer service. Like, come on. Why so money hungry? I would love an explanation to this. No I’m not a Karen here, just really frustrated with the inconsistency here and honestly negligence to customers. By the way, your feedback button doesn’t work in the WordPress website, so that is why I’m using this channel of communication. Can I please at least hear back from someone? I really don’t want to have to migrate to a different website provider, especially as I’ve used WordPress for years. But this is just foolish. Seriously. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Launching a site takes moments. Just type any random word in the “domain” box, scroll to the bottom of the page and against your free address click “skip purchase” and “continue with free”.

PS: Free sites get support in these forums. Premium plans get Live chat. There is far more support here than most other places. Most other places would want money too.

Friend, thank you so much! That worked!! It is a little crazy that that option is the last one and the smallest print. Kind of sad actually and deceptive. Had not shared that I would have no idea.

Right, that’s what it said today. However, yesterday, I was able to talk live with someone on WordPress, and I do not have premium plan. I really feel like this is a bait and switch and is really frustrating. Can you provide me with other sites the charge for customer service? I have not found any. Even Wix has a call line! :D
