Went to edit page, which shows on site, but error reads Invalid Page Address
-
I’m trying to edit a page on my site (John T. Peters Bio & Speaker Information) and while it shows up on my site, when I go to edit it, the error “Invalid Page Address” comes up. I don’t want to create a new page for fear of losing all this information. Can you help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

when I go to edit it, I see it briefly and then it goes gray and I get an error message – Invalid Page Address
This page cannot be found. Check the web address or start a new page. But, all the other pages on the site are able to be edited. I haven’t made any changes to this page in 2 years so I’m not sure why this is happening now.

(continued) And also, the title of the page is. John T. Peters BIO & Speaker Information

I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be able to edit that existing and published page, which I have visited. My first thought after viewing the page was that the size might be an issue depending upon the capabilities of the device and browser that you’re using. But that wouldn’t explain the error message “Invalid Page Address.” Instead the error message suggests that there is no page corresponding to the link you’ve attempted to open a page with.
Where are you attempting to edit the page from? Could you describe the steps you are taking?

The two other forum topics with the “invalid page address” tag and the Browser Issues support page might be helpful.

I’m in Manage Site Pages section of the WordPress editor. I’m using a decent MAC so the equipment is not an issue and again, all the other pages of the site are okay. Any thoughts?

Have you tried editing other pages recently? If it’s not a browser issue, then the site could be locked for some reason. I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Staff will respond here.

Other pages edit without problem. No issues with those. Just this one. Appreciate the help. Really don’t want to lose all that info, but also the page needs to be updated.

If you’re concerned about losing the page, you can make a duplicate by copying the content of the visible page and pasting it into a new page editor, in visual mode.

Copying over my reply to you from https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/invalide-page-address/ where you also posted.
We’ve had some reports of this happening when specific shortcodes are used on a page in combination with specific HTML, but I see nothing like that on your page. I’m also able to edit that page without any problems, which leads me to believe this might be something specific to your browser.
Please try clearing your browser cache first and see if that helps.
If not, right-click anywhere on the page, select the Inspect option. Click on Console. There will be a line where you can enter text. There type localStorage.clear(); and press Enter. Then try again.
Also please check if you’re able to edit the page if you use a different browser.
Let’s keep further communication here in your own thread, please.
