We're Sorry, But An Unexpected Error Has Occurred

  Whenever I try to edit a page, try to contact support through (https://wordpress.com/help/contact), or click on the “Earn” button, I get an error that says:

  “We’re sorry, but an unexpected error has occurred”

  If I click on the “?” button on that page, I get a complete white screen. All other pages work, including Customize, which displays the website and allows me to edit the CSS.

  My ad blockers are off on wordpress. I attempted to remove all of my custom CSS. Neither worked.

  I checked the website itself and it works fine.

  Any ideas of how to fix this?

  Hi there, frustrating! This sounds like a browser issue. Can you let us know which browser you are using?

  To the best of my knowledge, your site’s custom CSS shouldn’t interfere with the things you are trying to do.

  The first troubleshooting step would be to log out and clear your cookies and cache which will also log you out of every other site you are logged in to. Then make sure your browser has javascript enabled and accepts 3rd party cookies. Then log back in and see if you can access those pages.

  Let us know how that goes.

  I cleared my cookie cache from the last 7 days (since before the error happened) and tried logging out. Neither worked. I do accept cookies and javascript is enabled. I’m using google chrome.

  Can you try in an incognito window to see if it works? Or a different browser like Firefox? Or from a different location?

  It works in incognito mode and I double checked and it still doesn’t work in normal mode.

  Hello again, you’re welcome. Crtl+F5 forces a hard refresh of the page you are on which leads me to think it was a cookie issue. Clearing your full cache and cookies might have done the same for you as well. Regardless glad to know you resolved this issue. Thanks for letting us know.
