This is very confusing. I just sent a query note in this space about getting WordPress Live chat support, and the response is telling me that my domain—ricksnedekerauthor.com—is awordpress.org software install on paid hosting. Whatever that means. I started the process with Hostgator. I thought I was getting my domain on WordPress.com, so now I have no idea what to do to get help with the High End Minimalist theme and customizing my website. Are you saying I need to get that help from Hostgator? I was told by WordPress to to the WordPress Live Chat and pick a plan, which is what sent me down this rabbit hole in the first place. Can you clarify and direct? I’m far in the weeds by this point. Thanks.

There are two different versions of WordPress. These forums only provide support for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
Support is not provided here for the version of WordPress you are using.
If you need general support for a self-hosted site (on Hostgator), which uses software from WordPress.org, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.
