What A Mess!

  I have a WP blog and I wanted to change the address name. I followed the steps, but now I appear to have two or three blogs (I’m not really sure), only two of which show up in my admin page, but with two variations of my name, and then the above site loads into a third entirely different theme that isn’t listed on my admin page. I created a new email address because WP said I could use my existing email address. I don’t even know what I have anymore. What a mess!

  How can I contact a live person to walk me through what I really want and get rid of all the sites and views that I don’t want?

  Here are the various sites I currently have:

  What I want is http://www.pamportland.org with just one email address associated with it. I am ready to delete everything and start over.

  I’d like a theme that allows me to pick the background color, font colors, and widgets with a simple layout, nothing fancy, but no theme shows what I can and cannot do with the background and font until it’s already loaded.

  Don’t delete anything – that kills the base blog – gets rid of your content and makes it harder to move your custom domains around

  Ugh, even the delete functionality doesn’t work! It doesn’t let me delete the site.

  that is your only saving grace – DON’T DELETE ANYTHING

  pamportland.org – does not seem to be registered or mapped

  you can move the content around with the Export / Import function or maybe just move the domain mapping around

  but it is late and I am to tired right now to try and figure out what you need to do

  what is the WordPress.COM site you want to keep? (site.wordpress.com) – that is the one that probably has the content you want to keep the most

  do you have a second site with content that you want to combine with the keeper site?

  I know. I’m tired, too. Too many hours of work on this site and no forward progress. I don’t want the wordpress.com roots – either of them – but I think I have to keep one by default, so I don’t care as long as I can get my new address.

  I paid for truckdrivingwriter.org, but I want pamportland.org, which obviously didn’t work when I followed the instructions on changing my blog address.

  I have no idea at this point. I did copy and paste all of my blog posts to a document, so I won’t lose my content, just my sanity.

  Thanks @jeremeylduvall – looked to me like a refund or moving upgrades around would be the fix so I did not take much of a shot at this one
