What a mixup this is

I am trying to use woo commerce… and it directs me to wordpress.
Adding in the username I want, I am told it exists …. but I had no idea what email I used to make that account. So I make a new user name and then discover by trying various emails on lost password that I do know the email account for the user name I wanted to use …. and got a link to connect.
All fine then but that username now has the wrong email on it and I cannot change it due to creating another username with the email I wanted to use.
So now to change the username … I need to delete that account and I see there is a 30 day limitation to make a new account in the event I wanted to use that email also.
And one cannot just change the email because it says in use and will not accept a change.
So basically each email is useable but each one has the wrong username on it, there is no way to simply delete an account or both and remake them without waiting 30 days …. how silly is that idea ? It would be so simple to just delete both and remake them in 5 minutes with each having the proper name and email attached.And I cannot see why one cannot make a woo commerce account first separately and attach it later to the proper wordpress one wants to use …

Hi there!
If you’d like to reuse an email address with another WordPress.com account, the best thing to do is to first change that email to another one. This was you’ll free the desired one and will be able to use it on the account you wanted to.
Afterward, you’ll be able to close the account with the spare email address if you no longer want to keep it.
