What adjustments to CSS are possible with the custom theme upgrade?

  I am using the Blogum theme with wordpress.com hosting.
  If I subscribe to the custom theme upgrade option, will I be able to

  (a) adjust the size of the Paragraph style text — and perhaps headings? At present the paragraph size is a bit hard to read and wants to be up a couple of px.

  (b) Remove the random em dash which is part of the Blogum theme style for the title line?

  If I self-hosted the blog with this theme, would I then have full typographic/CSS control over it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
