What am I paying for?

    Hi:

    I was billed $13 (an annual charge) on 9 July.

    What was this $13 FOR?

    ‘Domain Connection’? What does that mean?

    Because I transferred this URL to Dreamhost and just paid THEM an annual fee for the URL. Thanks for clarifying this. Sandra

    I have no idea what the $13 annual ‘Domain Connection’ fee is for. My old WordPress website doesn’t appear to be active (even via onewomanrenowithdogs.wordpress.com), so what am I paying for? And how do I cancel this?

    Hi there,

    According to our records you used to have your site here with us at WordPress.com yes? The domain connection upgrade is used when you have a site here, but want to use a custom address (like your Dreamhost domain) instead of one that has “wordpress.com” in it.

    Based on your current domain settings the domain connection upgrade is not needed as I can see the site is hosted with Dreamhost currently. With that in mind you are welcome to cancel here for a refund: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/
