what and how to start self host blog ?

We are avoiding your question because it is irrelevant here: it is not a WordPress.com question.

You have a WordPress.org blog, and you want to know how to work it. That’s not our issue.

Also, you irritated us and distorted the fabric of space and time by bumping this thread.

This whole thing – self-hosting – seems to be way over your head, and I’m not meaning that as a dig, just my observation given what you have said in this thread.

My impression is that you are not ready for self-hosting a blog. There is a certain level of knowledge and understanding required to self-host a blog and I’m not seeing that. This can and likely will cause you a great deal of problems going forward.

    1. Your self-hosted blog is in NO WAY connected with, nor dependent on, either wordpress.COM or wordpress.ORG. It stands alone. The password you had for your account here will not work with the new blog because there is NO connection. During the installation of the software on your web hosting account you would have been given the username and password for that installation and it would even have emailed you that information.

    2. FTP access and uploading to your web hosting account is between you and your web host. They should have given you FTP access information for your web hosting account. If they didn’t, or if you do not know how to FTP to your account, then you need to do some searching on the internet for how to do that.

    3. With a self-hosted blog, if you have problems then you will have to register for a forum account over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . That username and password will ONLY be for posting in the .ORG forums. NOTHING else.

Very few here have any knowledge of self-hosted blogs since most have never had one so they cannot answer questions about a self-hosted installation.

Actually there are many beginners who go the self-hosted route, but if you did go with self-hosted blog, you’d want to shop around for a host that could provide a lot of help along the way, with FTP, adding plugins etc. Email them before the order to see if they could provide the level of support you’d need, but after you learn the ropes, it’s usually a smooth process
