What are my DNS zone settings?

  I am attempting to re-direct traffic from my old website (councilmancabrera.com) which was hosted by Clever Dot, to my new WordPress blog. Clever Dot is requesting the DNS zone settings of the domain in order to apply these changes. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/?host=councilmancabrera.com

  Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM

  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM

  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  Hello again,

  Unfortunately I am not sure how to proceed… in Google searches of Councilman Cabrera, the old site is still showing up in the top results. Therefore it is very important that visitors to that site be redirected to the new site. Are the instructions you gave me related to making that happen? I apologize for my lack of knowledge around this topic. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

  If you want to have councilmancabrera.com point to your WordPress.com site, you will need to follow the instructions I posted earlier.

  It looks like councilmancabrera.com is actually an expired domain name. You will need to renew it with your registrar if you wish to use it. If you allow it to completely expire, you are likely to lose control of the domain and may not be able to regain control of it.

  WHOIS data shows your registrar to be OnlineNIC.com – cleverdot.com (cleverdot is listed as the reseller):

  http://who.is/whois/councilmancabrera.com

  I would highly encourage you to renew the domain and then change the nameservers as I instructed above. It is the fastest way to get things working again.

  Thank you. I will renew the domain and change the nameservers. Clever Dot is currently also requesting the A record IP for cmfernandocabrera.wordpress.com. Would you be able to help me obtain that?

  Are they unwilling to allow you to change the nameservers?

  Nameservers are really the best way to point a domain somewhere.
