What caused my 'publish' problem this morning?

I post on weinstein365.wordpress.com every day. This morning when I tried to post I got a message that the server was having routine maintenance, that I should do nothing for 5 minutes and then press ‘refresh’. I did that, and i was able to post. However, it did NOT post to my social media, as it does everyday. It is the way I have set myself up. I did it manually because I was pressed for time.

However, I just received an email from a follower. She usually gets email notifications when I post. She has still not received one for today (currently 1:09 p.m., April 9). I posted before 7 a.m. this morning.

I am getting ‘likes’, but my stats are lower than usual. So I wonder how many other people did not get their email notifications. Is there any way you can look into what happened, why, and try to correct it?

    Many thanks.

  • It’s possible that the distribution routines were still caught up in the maintenance, sorry about that!

I recommend just manually sharing to Twitter and such for this post.

I did that. Part of my question was, how do my subscribers who get email notifications — and didn’t today — get notified? Can your system send out the email notifications again?

  • No, we have no way to regenerate emails notifications.

You could make a new post about the old post, but I don’t really have any other cleaner options.
