What constitutes spam?
-
I’ve only just started checking my spam folder, and although there are some comments that have broken English, there are other comments that sound plausible.
Being a novice blogger, I must admit to feeling really stupid for asking this question, but what constitutes spam?
I know it will be deemed spam if message is computer generated, and there are some obvious other ones. But I wondered why some comments I’ve received, over 600 in fact, were deemed spam.
Is there anyone who can clarify what I should look for?
Thanks.

Wow. Thanks for that. It was very enlightening. Now I’ll be able to trust spam is just spam.
Much appreciated.
