What do I do if I'm unable to begin my blog because it says it isn't mine?

  When I type in my blog name in the google search bar (lifeinthenew.wordpress.com) it comes up as belonging to me, with the theme I chose, started today, but without any content (because I haven’t added any). When I click on the link to start writing it tells me “I don’t have any websites yet.” When I enter in lifeinthenew.wordpress.com to create it, it tells me “sorry this name is already taken”- yes it is! by me!! But I can’t access it? I’m so confused.

  Hi there!

  The WordPress.com account username that you’re using on this forum, jolynngraubart, is this the username associated to that WordPress.com site (lifeinthenew.wordpress.com)? Because if not then that’s the reason it’s telling you that the name (lifeinthenew.wordpress.com) is already taken. Do you have another WordPress.com account with a different username?

  The second account is a common problem
