What do I do if the address I want already exist?

    Hi I’m trying to change my site address and when I do it says it already exist. I have looked a the forum post of the same problem yet it was left unanswered. The person with the adress hasn’t been on since 2008. Now before you suggest a domain upgrade, i’ll tell you right away it not an option.

    Then you have two basic options

    1) pick a different name that is close

    2) try and contact the blog owner and convince them to transfer the blog to you – WordPress.COM respects the privacy of blog owners – so look on the site for a contact form or leave a comment on the blog and ask them to contact you
