    What do I do if the site address I want is taken but it says the site doesn’t exist?
    I think when I created my WordPress account years ago, I made my blog address what I want to change it to now. Somewhere along the way, I change the address and now I want it back. If I go to the address I want, it says the author deleted the site (meaning, I probably deleted that site) but when I try to make a new blog with that address, it says it’s taken. Is there a way to reconcile this issue?

    No, there is not. Pick a new address or buy a custom domain.
